The Storm before the Calm!!!

We have been working so hard on our yard this past year. 2007 was quite an interesting year for us, when it all started out with a crack in our foundation and than it snowballed after that. We have been trying to work on our yard ever since. All of the backhoes, tractors and bobcats that were in our yard just ruined it, so it will take sometime to make it beautiful, but we are getting there. We have been living in our house for almost 7 years and we have put alot of focus to the inside of the house and not too much to the outside, until we were kind of forced too, now we are having so much fun with it, we love to see the progress of our trees and plants. We had some curbing put in last summer and just a few plants, we have now bought some more, of course it will always be a journey that will constantly be worked on. I wanted to post some photos of our terrible disaster last year with the girant hole in our backyard and the unsightly mess of our front yard, and than some pictures to where we are now. The big tree that you see we had cut down, becasue that was one of the major causes to our crack in our foundation. Everyday is a journey, we have hurdled this one, and we hope at least for now that we will not have any major hiccups for a long time down the road.
